How to resize an image online

Resizing changes an image's pixel dimensions. The right settings depend on whether you need a specific layout, a smaller file, or a proportional scale.

Quick method

  1. Open the image resizer and choose a JPG, PNG, or WebP file.
  2. Enter a new width or height. Leave the aspect ratio locked to calculate the matching dimension automatically.
  3. Choose the output format and quality.
  4. Select Resize image, inspect the result, and download it.

Resize by pixels or percentage

Pixel dimensions are best when a website or document specifies an exact width. Percentage resizing is useful when you simply want half-size, quarter-size, or double-size output.

Check the result

Before using the file, confirm its dimensions, format, and file size. If a photograph looks blocky, increase JPG or WebP quality. If the image looks stretched, reset it and keep the aspect ratio locked.
